Digital Rights Awareness

This week is National Digital Learning Week and also Mental Health Awareness Week. Sometimes the technologies we use have both positive and negative effects on wellbeing. In Tutor Time this week all students have been learning about their digital rights and we shared the video below with all students and staff

If you would like to find out more about our digital rights have a look at the 5Rights website.

In Tynecastle if any student, parent or carer would like to discuss any issue you can contact the school and also Sarah Haywood, our Place2Be School Project Manger at sarah.haywood@place2be.org.uk

National Digital Learning Week 2018

We’re delighted to be celebrating National Digital Learning Week in school this week, thinking about how we use digital technologies in and out of school, and looking forward to what has become a showcase event for educators from all over Edinburgh (and beyond!) – our Digital TeachMeet. This is the 4th Digital TeachMeet we have run and looks to be a great evening again with lots of sharing about how we are using digital learning to improve outcomes for all of our young people. Look out for #NDLW18 on Twitter…

We are also delighted and incredibly proud to be selected as finalists in this year’s Scottish Education Awards in the Digital Learning and Teaching category. The award ceremony takes place on June 6 in Glasgow where students and staff will represent the school.
