Yesterday was a busy day both in our Tynecastle Hub School and in our Tynecastle Virtual School. A couple of highlights for me included tweets from the English Faculty @TynieEnglish regarding books to read. This is certainly going to be a focus for me as we head towards the holidays. What are you going to read?
I also really enjoy following Mr Jaggs @JaggsMr on twitter. He has quite a following now and I particularly enjoyed seeing him described as ‘Gorgie’s own Joe Wicks’! Keep us motivated, Mr Jaggs.
And lastly, there has been some lovely work behind the scenes by Mr Bryce, gathering good news stories about our Learning @ Home for the media. Watch this space for more news soon.
Take care, stay connected and most importantly, staff safe.
Our PSAs (Pupil Support Assistants) will shortly start checking in via school email with students they would normally support in class. If your child is not normally supported in class but would like some assistance please contact the SFL leader Veronica.Cheung@tynecastle.edin.sch.uk.
Continuing with our theme of health and wellbeing, can I please draw the following messages from Active Schools and Place2Be to your attention:
Active Schools launched their A-Z activities yesterday, starting with the letter A. You can find the challenges on twitter or the Join in Edinburgh webpage below:
We have a recently-established THS mental health and wellbeing Twitter feed. @THS_wellbeing. I hope you find these help bring encouragement and positivity.
