Fundraising Race Night

The School Parent & Carer Council is holding a ‘Race Night’ on the evening of Friday 9th November at the BMC Club (next to Sainsbury’s) to raise money for the activities we support in the school, including Place2Be. The night runs from 7pm until 12.30am.

Tickets are now available from the school office and are £5 per person. Children and young people are welcome if accompanied by an adult.

We are looking for sponsors for races, and horse owners. See below for details. If you want to name a horse, sponsor a race, or have any questions, please email us at

We’re also looking for donations of raffle prizes, you can leave anything for the raffle at the school office.

We hope to see you there!
Sophia (Chair) and Moira (Secretary)

What is a Race Night?
A night at the races – without actually being there! During the Race Night, eight races are shown on a big screen. The Race Night MC announces the races and small bets can be placed prior to each race. Winners get a proportion of the bets for each race. In advance of the night, people can pay £5 to name a horse (amusing or significant names are best) and if their horse wins on the night they get an extra cash prize. Please send us an email if you would like to name a horse.

After all the races are run, we’ll have a raffle and then a disco. Everyone gets into the spirit of the thing, and has a good time! We look forward to seeing you there…
