THS Learning @ Home
I hope that you managed to enjoy the extra day whether that was more time outside exercising or inside under the duvet. The weather was not great but it was certainly good to have a little more time for yourself and your family.
Take caring care of yourself and being kind to others are the themes this week, highlighted through Mental Health and Wellbeing Week. Hopefully you have seen our staff video and our Place2Be Kindness Champion, Mrs Yvonne McGregor, and will be following us on twitter and Instagram this week. It can be a real challenge to deal with the current situation and all the demands we are facing. However, whoever you are, student, parent/carer or staff, being kind to others does help your own mental health too. This week I popped some postcards in the post to people who I miss and love because I think it’s really nice to receive mail when you are more cut off and isolated. What are you going to do #KindnessMatters?
This week also sees S3 become S4, moving up in their learning and dropping one of their subjects. As you know, following our Curriculum Review earlier in the year, this year group will be the first S4 cohort to study for up to 7 Nationals. As always, registering first is really important and helps us to know where to target our support, so please do encourage this at home.
I hope that everyone has a good though shorter week. Do please get in touch if we can help with anything.
And, do take care, stay connected and most importantly, stay safe.
Ms Hazel Kinnear
