Message from the Head Teacher

THS Learning @ Home

Dear all,

So, here we are at the end of another week. This week would have been the start of exam leave for our students but instead our staff are working through SQA requirements to produce estimates under this new system, which will take until 29 May. This week saw our teaching staff and Senior Leadership Team working at our Hub school (JGHS). This is going incredibly well and we really appreciate that some of our staff are able to do this, ensuring that front line workers are able to continue in their jobs.

I was really pleased that our Parent Council managed to meet this week but was not so pleased that I was unable to attend due to different operating systems. However, I believe that it was the best turn out yet so maybe online is the way to go in the future. There were are a range of questions for me following that meeting and I have done my best to answer them all. Do remember that our admin account, feedback button and Pupil Support Officer are all available in case you would like to contact us. You can also contact Pupil Support Leaders through the admin account.

This is a strange weekend coming up because it is a holiday weekend for students and their families but it is an in-service for staff. I do hope that the 3 day week next week is combined with a return to good weather and that you and your families are able to have some rest and relaxation despite the circumstances that we find ourselves in.

Whatever the long weekend brings, please stay well, stay connected and most importantly stay safe.

Ms Kinnear
