Ethos
We are a welcoming department, that has very high expectations of pupils work and behaviour. We are committed to training the pupils for the “World of Work” by showing respect for others, and preparing them as confident, successful and responsible individuals.

Major Achievements
Attainment in the department is usually very high, in the 2008 exams 100% of pupils passed Standard Grade Accounting and Finance, Standard Grade Business Management and Intermediate 2 Administration. From the 2008 inspection report, results for Accounting and Finance and Business Management are above the national average.

In 2006, Rae Morton, one of our Higher Business Management pupils achieved the highest mark in Scotland for her exam paper. She was presented with an award from the Scottish Business Education Association.

Resources
We are a very well resourced department where pupils are provided with jotters, folders, paper and textbooks for each course. We have 2 ICT classrooms with 20 flat screen PCs using Windows XP operating system and Office 2003 software.

Extra Curricular Activities
After school sessions are available on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the department for completing homework, catching up on work missed or extra help.

A variety of sessions are always offered at the Easter Revision School.
